It’s National Lipstick Day!

Did you know that there’s a holiday for lipstick lovers? National Lipstick Day is here!

This is more of a mini post. Turns out today is National Lipstick Day and I intend to celebrate! How, you ask? By wearing my favorite lipstick and going out to see if there are any National Lipstick Day gifts being given out by my favorite beauty retailers.

For instance, I’ve been reading that if you go to any M.A.C. store today (July 29, 2018) you can get a full size M.A.C. lipstick in your choice of color, no purchase required. They are even offering some favorite shades that are hard to find just for today! I’m gonna go find a M.A.C. store and see if that’s true.

Also, if you’re in the Austin area, the Sephora store in the Barton Creek Mall just got a makeover. They are apparently giving away a free Sephora sheet mask (I’m not sure if there’s a purchase required), and if you spend $25 or more you get a free striped Sephora tote bag. (Okay, so that one’s not lipstick, but free is free.)

While I’m making the rounds, I may as well pop into Ulta. Right now they have the Morphe 35O Nature Glow eyeshadow palette on sale for $15 (regular price – $23). You can also get select Too Faced lipsticks Buy One, Get One Free until the end of the day. I thought I saw that they had Real Techniques sponges on a BOGO sale, too, but I can’t seem to find where I read that.

I will update this post then I’m done venturing out and let you know what I found.

Edited to add: Well, it turns out that on National Lipstick Day the early bird get the worm, or in this case, the lipstick. I got out of the house too late to get a free M.A.C lipstick, but I did get to play with some of the lipsticks on display. I have added a couple to my list that I would eventually like to pick up.

I was also too late to get a free sheet mask from Sephora. That’s alright. I have quite the stash of sheet masks thanks to my Mask Box subscription. I did get in on Anastasia Beverly Hills BOGO lipstick sale.

I picked up a liquid lipstick ($20 USD) in the color Requiem, a beautiful deep teal, and a lip gloss ($16 USD) in the shade Metallic Rose. I got out of the store for about $22 total, with tax. So technically, I did get a free lipstick, just not the one I thought.

And my trip to Ulta was a bust. I looked around, but nothing called out to me to take it home. That’s better for my bank account.
